Our first stop will be at the iconic Ile aux Cerfs Island for a 45-Minutes visit and refreshments. We will then head to Grand River South East to enjoy the view of a waterfall that flows into the Indian Ocean. Ile Phare, sometimes called Ile aux Fouquets, was one of the first islands that the Dutch settlers found in 1598. The lighthouse that gave L’Ile Phare its name was constructed in 1864 and remained in function until the early 1900s. In the past, Ile au Phare, which is located in Mahébourg Bay, served a strategic role in the naval engagements at Grand Port.

Following your excursion to the Blue Bay Marine Park, we’ll stop at Ile aux Aigrettes for a snack. Now available is the all-inclusive open bar! An islet called Ile aux Aigrettes is located off Mauritius’ southeast coast. It serves as both a scientific research station and a wildlife reserve. Additionally, it is a well-liked tourism destination for both foreigners and Mauritiusans. You will have your snokelling session at the Blue Bay Marine Park or near Ilot Mangenie (depending on weather conditions and coral breeding season).

Located in the south-east of the island, Blue Bay was declared a national park in 1997 before being designated as a wetland site under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in 2008. The marine park is renowned for its remarkable coral garden, which harbours hundreds of varieties of corals and its abundant fauna. Close to the coastline, the site offers ideal conditions for snorkelling with a rich biodiversity as well as calm and shallow sea-water!
